Biography

2008-09: Ended her career sixth in UDM history with 42 doubles wins and eighth in singles with 45 triumphs…Selected to the All-Horizon League Second Team after going 19-17 in singles and 5-3 in the conference, all at the No. 2 position…Two of her three losses in the conference went three sets…She also teamed with Annie Moore to post a 20-13 mark at No. 1 doubles, including a 7-1 tally in the league… Earned top honors in the No. 2 singles flight at the Detroit Titan Invitational winning all three of her matches…Also captured a singles flight championship at the IPFW Fall Invite with three-straight wins as well as teaming with Moore for the No. 1 doubles flight title…That perfect 6-0 week led her to be named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Oct. 14…Participated in the 2008 ITA Midwest Invitational in singles and doubles, coming away with an 8-3 win over Amanda Dibbs and Julianna Frey of Eastern Illinois…Helped the Titans reach their first ever HL championship match with a dominating 6-0, 6-2 win over Kari Kastenholz of Milwaukee in the quarter-finals and a 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 against Butler’s Natali Jaimes in the semi’s…In doubles, her and Moore won eight of their last 10 and seven of eight conference bouts with their only losses to UIC’s No. 1 team…Presented with the team’s Scholar-Athlete Award as well as the 2007-08 Titan Newcomer of the Year for at the annual UDM President’s Athletic and Academic Honors Luncheon…A member of the AD honor roll.

As A Titan: Arrived at UDM as a transfer last year and has been in a fixture near the top of the Titans’ lineup ever since… Was named first team All-Horizon League at the end of her junior campaign... A hard worker who has excelled in both singles and doubles play for Detroit… Was twice named Horizon League Player of the Week last spring en route to leading the 2008 Titans with 26 singles victories… That equaled the school single-season record set two years earlier by current senior Annie Moore… Was a sparkling 7-1 in Horizon League dual matches… Picked up eight more victories in both singles and doubles during the fall campaign, and is primed for a big finish to her Detroit career.

Personal: Played two seasons at Arkansas State before joining the Titans… While a high school player, ranked 20th in singles play in Croatia on the National Senior list and  women’s singles open… Participated in kick boxing and also enjoys hiking and volleyball… Majoring in Biochemistry.
