A former All-American for the Titans, Krista Switzer joined the UDM staff in 2009 as a graduate assistant coach. A multi-star athlete who also played softball at UDM, was a two-time Horizon League champion as well as Detroit’s record holder in the javelin at 129’7”/39.31m. She finished 21st at the NCAA Midwest Regional in 2004 and 20th in 2006.
She would earn such accolades as the team’s Rookie of the Year, Most Improved and Student-Athlete award and was named an Academic All-America by the USTFCCCA in 2006.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology in 2007 and is now looking to obtain her master’s in psychology.
Switzer will help with the Titan javelin unit as well as assist with day to day daily office functions.
