The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse program finalized its coaching staff with the addition of Lauren Marosi as a graduate assistant coach in August of 2023.
Marosi was a standout player the last four years at VCU and ended her collegiate career tied for fourth in Rams history with 42 caused turnovers and tied for ninth with 52 draw controls. She played in 56 career games with 40 starts and posted 24 goals and 11 assists to go with 56 ground balls.
Offensively, she had her best year with 12 goals and 18 points as a sophomore, to go with a career-best 23 draw controls before moving to a defensive player and registering a career-high 27 ground balls and a team-high and career-best 26 caused turnovers as a senior.
A Michigan product from Grand Rapids, she graduated as the all-time leading scorer at Catholic Central High School and was a three-time All-State selection, three-time All-Area honoree and was twice named to the All-Conference team. A two-time team captain and All-Academic selection, she also owns the school record for most goals scored in a game with nine.
She graduated from VCU with a degree in Health Science and is currently pursuing her master's in the Advanced Generalist Nursing program at UDM.
