University of Detroit Mercy Athletics

Tone Oglesby

Tone Oglesby joined the University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2021.

Oglesby worked with her alma mater, Presentation College in South Dakota, doing athletic training clinical rotations during three school years from 2018-21. She worked with squads including football, men's and women's soccer, men's basketball, softball and baseball.

During that time, Oglesby also worked with Aberdeen Central High School, working with football and soccer, as well as completed rotations with the Aberdeen Wings, a junior hockey team, and inside the physical therapy department with Sanford Health.

She was the President of the Presentation College Athletic Training Club during her time as a student and was a two-time recipient of the "Hardest Worker Award" with Presentation College Athletic Training.

Oglesby, a native of Detroit, Michigan, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Presentation College, where she was also a member of the women's basketball team. She was a Dean's List member while at the school.

She is a National Athletic Trainers' Association Member and holds an American Heart Association Basic Life Saver Certificate.
