Senior distance runner Ben Kendell (Huntington Woods, Mich.) opened up his final men's track and field season with a bang, running a time of 29:00.15 in the 10,000 meter run at the Stanford Invitational on Friday night. Kendell's time in his heat of the event earned him seventh place and was a PR by more than 24 seconds. He was just six seconds behind the race winner. With his run, Kendell earned a spot in the 2019 NCAA Men's Track & Field Preliminary Round from May 23-25 in Jacksonville, Fla.
