Junior softball pitcher Liz Murphy (Maple Ridge, B.C.) tossed a no-hitter in Saturday's 4-0 win over Northern Kentucky, helping Detroit Mercy to a 2-1 series win over the Norse. Murphy earned her league-leading sixth save of the season in the opener of the series on Friday before striking out eight in seven, no-hit innings in Saturday's opener. On the season, Murphy ranks second in the Horizon League to teammate Ashley Mauser in ERA (2.39) and is third in strikeouts (110) in the conference.
