Men's track and field senior James McCann (Holland, Mich.) earned a pair of silver medals at the 2020 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend for the Titans, helping the team to a fifth-place finish. McCann was runner-up in both the 3000-meter run and 5000-meter run for Detroit Mercy. He crossed in a time of 8:34.01 in the 3000m and finished in 14:40.83 in the 5000m and was just one second back in both events. McCann's time in the 5000m run was a PR and the third-best mark all-time for a Titan in the event.
