SERIES RECORD
These two teams have only squared off twice in school history and Georgia has won both times. In the first meeting, Georgia claimed an 87-47 win on Jan. 11, 1988 in Athens, GA, and the Bulldogs won the following season in Detroit by a score of 98-54 on Dec. 19, 1988.
ABOUT GEORGIA
Georgia, ranked 23rd in the ESPN/USA Today poll, owns a 2-0 record heading into Saturday's match-up, which includes a close 64-61 win over Oakland in Rochester, MI, on Noc. 20. The Bulldogs opened up their season at home against Alabama State (Nov. 15) and claimed an 85-35 victory. Sophomore Porsha Phillips currently leads Georgia with 13.5 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per contest. Junior Ashley Houts has dished out a team-high 10 assists, while both Phillips and junior Christy Marshall each own five blocks.

Talicia Washington came off the bench against the Spartans (Nov. 19) to add six points for the Titans and also pulled down a team second-best seven rebounds.
COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher will coach her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against Georgia. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), there have been eight full-time head coaches prior to Rademacher. Those individuals own a 3-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.
DETROIT VS. RANKED TEAMS
Since the first year of the Horizon League (2001-02), Detroit owns an 0-11 record against teams ranked in the top-25. The last time the Titans faced a ranked team was on March 7, 2007 when Detroit dropped an 81-58 decision to #22 Green Bay in the first round of the conference championship. Earlier that season, the Titans hosted #17 DePaul on Dec. 15 and Detroit lost by a score of 81-57. That was the last time UDM faced a ranked team in Detroit.
DOUBLIN' UP
The Detroit Titans will host five doubleheaders this year with both the men's and women's teams, starting with Nov. 22 as UDM's men's squad will host Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Detroit Titans women's basketball team played its second-straight road game and fell to Michigan State by a score of 85-48 on Nov. 19 at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.
Freshman
Lauren Allen hit a jumper at 16:45 to pull UDM within two (6-4), but that was the closest the Titans would get to the Spartans the remainder of the contest. MSU went into the break with a 37-13 advantage and the Spartans captured its largest lead of the night with just over three minutes in the game when the scoreboard read, 77-40.

Zemora Davis led the Titans in scoring for the second time as she netted 13, which included a 9-of-12 showing at the line, and she also tied for a game-high eight rebounds. Redshirt freshman
Talicia Washington came off the bench to add six points for Detroit and she also grabbed a team second-best seven caroms.
MSU redshirt Aisha Jefferson ended with a game-high 18 points and tied Davis with eight rebounds. Spartan junior Allyssa DeHaan also scored in double figures with a game second-best 14 points.
RADEMACHER RETURNS
Former Detroit Titans stand-out, Autumn Rademacher (1993-97), returns to her alma mater as she was named the 10th UDM head coach in school history this past Spring. Rademacher comes to Detroit after spending the past four seasons at Green Bay. Prior to her time with the Phoenix, Rademacher was an assistant coach at Western Michigan for seven years.
LENDING A HAND
After being named Detroit's head coach, Rademacher did not waste any time in establishing her assistant coaching staff. She hired former Titan, Carrie Banks (1996-00), Emily Samuelson, whom Rademacher recruited at Western Michigan, as well as Skyler Young who worked with Rademacher at WMU. In addition, Rademacher named former Detroit player, Katie Solner (2002-06), as a graduate assistant for the women's basketball program.

NEW LOGO
The University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Department officially unveiled its bright, bold new logo on Aug. 15, 2008. The new insignia for Detroit Titan Athletics - designed by a Detroit-based firm, Starr Constand - replaces a logo which has been in use since 1993.
CALIHAN HALL
This past summer the court in Calihan Hall received a makeover as the floor was resurfaced to highlight the Titans new athletic logo prominently in the center of the court. In addition, the Horizon League logo has been moved to each free throw lane, consistent with the courts throughout the conference.
DETROIT INKS THREE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans, beginning with the 2009-10 season. The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).
FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
