SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate heads into Wednesday's contest with a 5-6 overall record and a 1-4 mark when playing on the road. The Raiders have lost six straight, including an 86-57 setback at another Horizon League member school, Loyola, this past Monday. The last win for Colgate came on Nov. 24 at Mount St. Mary's, 56-45. Junior Sami Kozlowski leads the Raiders in scoring average (11.8 ppg), while junior Krista Moser is averaging a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game.
CRACKIN' THE TOP 10
Senior
Brigid Mulroy made three 3-pointers at Georgia on Dec. 22 and now owns 97 career treys, which is ninth-best in Detroit's history books. Terri Ford (1986-90) and current graduate assistant, Katie Solner (2002-05), are now tied for 10th as they both ended their careers with 95 3-pointers.
LEADING THE WAY
Mulroy led the Titans in scoring (14), rebounding (7) and steals (2) at #9 Georgia on Dec. 22. In addition to her three treys, Mulroy had a flawless 5-for-5 showing at the line against the Bulldogs.

Tayler Langham started her first game in a Titan uniform at #9 Georgia on Dec. 22. Langham swatted away two blocks, to tie for a game-high, against the Bulldogs.

Cherridy Thornton matched her season-high of two made field goals and set new personal standards in assists (1) and minutes played (21) at #9 Georgia on Dec. 22.
SO, LONG. FAREWELL.
Since the 1977-78 season, when playing in its final game of December, Detroit owns a 19-13 overall record and an 11-3 mark when those contests are played at home. The last time the Titans won its final game of the 12th month was a 62-52 win at IPFW on Dec. 21, 2007 and Dec. 28, 2004 marks the last time UDM played its final game of December at home and the Titans won by a score of 67-43 against Youngstown State.
ALLEN IN ACTION
Sophomore
Lauren Allen came off the bench to score a season-high and team-best 12 points against Michigan on Dec. 19 after making a season-best five field goals. Allen tied for a game-high three steals and added one assist and two rebounds in 28 minutes of play.
LANGHAM'S OPENER

Tayler Langham made her debut with the Titans on Dec. 19 against Michigan as she scored a team second-best nine points, grabbed a team second-best six rebounds and added one steal in 22 minutes of play.

Jalesa Jones tied for a game-high three assists at #9 Georgia on Dec. 22. Jones has 49 assists thus far this season and is currently ranked first in the Horizon League as she is averaging 4.9 apg.

Against Bowling Green (Dec. 9), she came off the bench to score a team-high and then personal-best 12 points after shooting 4-of-11 from the field and making her lone attempt from long range.

In the latest NCAA National Rankings (thru Dec. 20), senior
Brigid Mulroy ranks third in 3-point field goal pct. (.578) and 29th in 3-point field goals made (2.9/gm). In addition, as a team, the Titans are 33rd in the nation in 3-point field goal pct. (.374).
REBOUNDS GALORE
Sophomore
Yar Shayok has grabbed double figure rebounds in every game, except for four. She set a career-high of 14 at Oakland (Nov. 13), grabbed 10 at against both Michigan State (Nov. 15) and Cincinnati (Nov. 21), pulled down a game-high 12 caroms at Indiana State (Dec. 1), collected a game-best 13 rebounds against EMU (Dec. 5) and pulled down a team-high 11 versus U-M (Dec. 19).
FAMBRO LEADS THE WAY

Demeisha Fambro poured in a game-high 22 points, which included a perfect 5-of-5 showing at the line, against Eastern Michigan (Dec. 5). Fambro was one rebound shy of collecting a double-double as she grabbed a team third-best nine boards and she also tallied a game-high four steals against the Eagles.

LONE SENIOR HONORED
Detroit's lone senior,
Brigid Mulroy, came out of the gate raring to go in UDM's opening week as she averaged 20.5 points in the two games. For her efforts, Mulroy was named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Nov. 16 and also earned the Horizon League Network's “The People's Choice” honor (Nov. 19).
MORE MULROY
Mulroy opened the 2009-10 campaign with a team third-best 14-point effort in Detroit's 74-65 win at Oakland on Nov. 13 and, two days later, in UDM's home opener, she shot 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-5 from long range, and made all seven attempts at the line to end with a career-high and game-best 27 points versus #10 Michigan State. The eight made field goals matches her career-high and the seven free throws is a new personal best for Detroit's lone senior.
NOT TOO SHABBY
Detroit led by as much as nine against #10 Michigan State on Nov. 15 and the Titans had a one-point advantage at the break (37-36).
DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Sophomore
Yar Shayok, whose 2008-09 season was cut short due to an injury, made a huge impact for the Titans against Oakland on Nov. 13 as she collected a double-double with game-highs in both points and rebounds with 26 and 14, respectively.
TALE OF TWO HALVES
The Titans shot 36 percent in the first half against Oakland (Nov. 13) and came back from the break to shoot 61 percent in the second stanza, compared to a 29 percent effort from the Golden Grizzlies.
BIG TEN TEAMS TO CALIHAN
Michigan was the second Big Ten team to visit Calihan Hall this year as Detroit opened up its home slate with a match-up against Michigan State on Nov. 15 and faced off with the Wolverines on Dec. 19. The last time UDM hosted both of these teams was during the 2001-02 season.
LAST TIME OUT
The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped a 66-42 decision to #9 Georgia at the Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, GA, on Dec. 22.

Brigid Mulroy led the Titans in both scoring and rebounding with 14 and seven, respectively, with the seven boards tying for a game-high. In addition, sophomore
Jalesa Jones tied for a game-best three assists and Mulroy collected a team-high two steals.
Mulroy started the scoring with a 3-pointer in the opening seconds and she netted another trey about three minutes later to put the Titans ahead, 6-4. At one point in the first half, Detroit held UGA without a field goal for 7:12, but the Bulldogs had an 8-for-8 showing from the line during that span to take a 20-16 lead with just over six minutes remaining in the stanza.
Sophomore
Lauren Allen pulled Detroit within one at 1:44 after making a midrange jumper with help from freshman
Kassandra Hooten and Hooten also cut UDM's deficit to just one a minute later after making a lay-up to put the score at 26-25. However, UGA senior Ashley Houts scored the last basket of the half to give the Bulldogs a four-point advantage at the break.
Jones made a fastbreak lay-up about four minutes into the second half to cut UGA's lead to 33-27 and freshman
Cherridy Thornton also pulled Detroit within six about a minute later, but that was the closest the Titans would get the rest of the contest.
Three Bulldogs scored in double figures with freshman Jasmine Hassell coming off the bench to tie Mulroy with 14 points, while sophomore Meredith Mitchell and Houts each added 12 for UGA and junior Porsha Phillips grabbed a game-high 10 boards.
Detroit shot 34 percent on the night, while Georgia had a 24-of-74 showing from the field (32 percent). UGA made 13 of its 16 attempts at the line, while the Titans missed just one (8-of-9).
HORIZON LEAGUE NETWORK
All of Detroit's home games and every road conference contest for the Titans will be televised on the Horizon League Network this year.
DETROIT INKS TWO
University of Detroit Mercy head women's basketball coach Autumn Rademacher has announced that two student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titan squad, beginning with the 2010-11 season. The signees are: Megan Hatter (F, 6-0, Howell, MI/Howell) and Senee Shearer (G, 5-7, Detroit, MI/Pershing). Hatter is the sister of current Titan,
Heather Hatter.
