SERIES RECORD

The overall series between Detroit and Bowling Green is tied at 10 a piece. Last year, the Titans fell to the Falcons by a score of 72-42 on BGSU's home court on Dec. 3. The last win for UDM against the Falcons was on Nov. 20, 2001 when the Titans claimed a 67-62 victory at Calihan Hall.On Dec. 2, 2000 Detroit faced the Falcons in Bowling Green and the Titans won by a score of 94-75 to mark the last time UDM won on BGSU's home court.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS
Bowling Green, the five-time defending MAC Champions, head into Wednesday's contest with a 5-2 overall record. The Falcons have won four-straight, which includes a 66-60 win over then #14/16 Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN, on Dec. 4. The last time the Falcons lost was a 70-65 setback at Marist in the Preseason WNIT (Nov. 21). Junior Lauren Prochaska is averaging a team-best 15.6 points per game, as well as 6.6 rpg.

FABULOUS FAMBRO
Freshman Demeisha Fambro netted a game-high 22 points, which included a flawless 5-of-5 showing at the line, against Eastern Michigan this past Saturday. Fambro was one rebound shy of collecting a double-double as she grabbed a team third-best nine boards and she also tallied a game-high four steals against the Eagles.

STONER'S DEBUT
Sophomore walk-on Jaimee Stoner made her collegiate debut this past Saturday against Eastern Michigan. Stoner saw 13 minutes of action, collected one steal and netted her first collegiate basket off an assist from former walk-on, senior Brigid Mulroy.

BEST IN THE NATION
In the latest NCAA National Rankings (thru Dec. 6), senior Brigid Mulroy is ranked fifth in 3-point field goal pct. (.600) and 11th in 3-point field goals made (3.5/gm). In addition, as a team, the Titans are 38th in the nation in 3-point field goal pct. (.376).

IS SANTA MISSING A HELPER?
Sophomore Jalesa Jones dished out a team-high five assists against Eastern Michigan this past Saturday. Jones has 30 helpers thus far this season and is currently ranked second in the Horizon League as she is averaging 5.0 assists per game.

ALL BOARDED UP
Sophomore Yar Shayok has grabbed double figure rebounds in every game, except for one. She set a career-high of 14 at Oakland (Nov. 13), grabbed 10 at against both Michigan State (Nov. 15) and Cincinnati (Nov. 21), pulled down a game-high 12 caroms at Indiana State (Dec. 1) and then collected a game-best 13 rebounds against EMU (Dec. 5).

WHERE IN THE HORIZON LEAGUE?
As of Dec. 7, senior Brigid Mulroy sits first among conference peers in scoring (17.2 ppg), 3-point field goals made (3.5/gm), while being tied for 1st in 3-point FG pct. (.600). In addition, Mulroy is tied for sixth in both field goal percentage (.500) and defensive rebounds (4.7/gm). Sophomore Yar Shayok currently ranks first in the Horizon League in rebounds (10.5 rpg), tied for sixth in scoring (14.0 ppg), second in defensive rebounds (7.0/gm) and is fifth in offensive rebounds (3.5/gm). In addition, sophomore Jalesa Jones is second in assists (5.0 apg) and is fourth in assist/turnover ratio (1.5), while freshman Demeisha Fambro is tied for 12th in scoring (12.5 ppg).

BOARD WORK, NOT BRIDGE WORK
Senior Brigid Mulroy pulled down a career-high and game second-best 12 rebounds against Eastern Michigan on Dec. 5.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Sophomore Yar Shayok collected her third double-double of the season as she scored a team second-best 19 points and pulled down a game-high 13 caroms versus Eastern Michigan this past Saturday.

MOVIN' ON UP
Senior Brigid Mulroy currently owns 89 career 3-point field goals, which is six away from tying Terri Ford (1986-90) and current graduate assistant, Katie Solner (2002-05), for ninth place in Detroit's record books.

FIRST START
Freshman Kassandra Hooten earned her first collegiate start this past Saturday against the Eagles.

THREE'S ANYONE?
Senior Brigid Mulroy made all three attempts from long range at Cincinnati (Nov. 21), while sophomore Yar Shayok and freshmen Demeisha Fambro, as well as Cherridy Thornton all netted one trey each against the Bearcats. Thornton's 3-pointer pulled Detroit within one late in the second half after being down by 17 points to Cincinnati.

LONE SENIOR HONORED
Senior guard Brigid Mulroy came out of the gate rearing to go in Detroit's opening week as she averaged 20.5 points in the two games. For her efforts, Mulroy was named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Nov. 16 and also earned the Horizon League Network's “The People's Choice” honor (Nov. 19).

MORE MULROY
Mulroy opened the 2009-10 campaign with a team third-best 14-point effort in Detroit's 74-65 win at Oakland on Nov. 13 and, two days later, in UDM's home opener, she shot 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-5 from long range, and made all seven attempts at the line to end with a career-high and game-best 27 points versus #10 Michigan State. The eight made field goals matches her career-high and the seven free throws is a new personal best for Detroit's lone senior.

CONFERENCE WEEKLY HONORS
Detroit won the final Horizon League Player of the Week honor last season (Sandi Brown) and then Mulroy won it the first week of this season.

NOT TOO SHABBY
Detroit led by as much as nine against #10 Michigan State on Nov. 15 and the Titans had a one-point advantage at the break (37-36).

WELCOME TO CALIHAN
Over 1,600 fans came to watch the Titans face nationally-ranked Michigan State on Nov. 15.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Sophomore Yar Shayok, whose 2008-09 season was cut short due to an injury, made a huge impact for the Titans against Oakland on Nov. 13 as she collected a double-double with game-highs in both points and rebounds with 26 and 14, respectively. Shayok shot 11-of-14 from the field, 4-of-5 from the line and 10 of her caroms came on the defensive end.

TALE OF TWO HALVES
The Titans shot 36 percent in the first half against Oakland (Nov. 13) and came back from the break to shoot 61 percent in the second stanza, compared to a 29 percent effort from the Golden Grizzlies.

LAST TIME OUT
Detroit sophomore Yar Shayok collected her third double-double of the season with a game-high 13 boards and a team second-best 19 points, but the Titans fell to visiting Eastern Michigan, 72-55, in women's basketball action at Calihan Hall on Dec. 5.

In the opening half, Detroit pulled within one (8-7) after Shayok netted a jumper at 12:48 and then the Titans knotted the score at 11 about three minutes later after freshman Demeisha Fambro, who ended with a team-high 22 points, made a fast break lay-up. After Shayok scored again with 4:15 remaining off an assist from sophomore Jalesa Jones, to put Detroit within six (25-19), the Eagles (6-2) responded with 12 unanswered points to head into the break with a 37-19 advantage.

Eastern maintained control the second half as they led by double digits the entire stanza, with its largest lead coming at 9:51 after sophomore Paige Redditt hit a lay-up off an assist from junior Cassie Schrock to put the score at 58-35. In the closing minutes, Fambro netted another fastbreak lay-up and senior Brigid Mulroy, who ended with a career-high 12 rebounds, added two points for the Titans to pull Detroit within 15 (70-55).

UDM sophomore Jaimee Stoner made her collegiate debut as she scored two points and added a steal in 13 minutes of play.

EMU sophomore Tavelyn James made all six attempts at the line and shot 5-of-12 from beyond the arc to end with a game-high 29 points, while junior Kristin Thomas grabbed a team-best 10 boards.

Detroit shot 32 percent on the afternoon (22-of-68), while Eastern was 25-of-64 from the field (39 percent) and the Eagles edged Detroit in rebounds, 50-47.

BIG TEN TEAMS TO CALIHAN
Michigan State and Michigan will both visit Calihan Hall this year, which is the first time since the 2001-02 season in which Detroit has hosted both Big Ten teams. The Titans opened up their home season against MSU (Nov. 15) and will host the Wolverines on Dec. 19.

PEACHY KEEN
Detroit and Georgia will have a rematch this year on Dec. 22 in Athens. Last season, the Titans captured a historic 70-66 victory over then 23rd-ranked Georgia at Calihan Hall on Nov. 22.

YOU LOOK FAMILIAR
When the Titans square-off with Michigan in December, it will pit a former mentor against a mentee as Detroit head coach Autumn Rademacher coached under Michigan head coach Kevin Borseth for three seasons (2004-07) while he was at the helm of Green Bay's women's team.

HORIZON LEAGUE NETWORK
All of Detroit's home games and every road conference contest for the Titans will be televised on the Horizon League Network this year.

DETROIT INKS TWO
University of Detroit Mercy head women's basketball coach Autumn Rademacher has announced that two student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titan squad, beginning with the 2010-11 season. The signees are: Megan Hatter (F, 6-0, Howell, MI/Howell) and Senee Shearer (G, 5-7, Detroit, MI/Pershing). Hatter is the sister of current Titan, Heather Hatter.
