Chanica Hall (Minneapolis, MN/Benilde-St. Margaret's) nailed a key 3-pointer to help propel the Titans to a 59-50 win over Milwaukee at Calihan Hall Thursday evening. Detroit never relinquished the lead and had four players score in double figures in the Horizon League contest.
Detroit (8-15, 4-8 HL) was able to stop Milwaukee (10-13, 5-7) from making a field goal the first 7:25 of the game and the Panthers only managed to score one free throw during that span. Detroit junior
Brigid Mulroy (West Bloomfield, MI/Marian), who scored a game-high 14 points, helped give Detroit its largest lead of the opening stanza as she drained three straight baskets from beyond the arc to give Detroit a 13-1 advantage over the Panthers at 14:12.
Milwaukee pulled within three after freshman Amanda Viehauser made both attempts at the line at 6:22 (17-14), but Detroit regained its double digit lead about five minutes later. Redshirt freshman
Talicia Washington (Auburn Hills, MI/Avondale) netted a layup off an assist from freshman
Lauren Allen (Rochester, MI/Rochester) to put the score at 29-19 and the Titans went into the break with a 29-22 lead over the Panthers.
The Titans opened up the second half on a 7-0 run, which was capped off with a trey from Mulroy to put the score at 33-22 at 17:31. Detroit was able to pull ahead by 17 after Hall dished out a pass to Washington, who netted a layup to put the score at 47-30 with 11 minutes remaining.
After Hall netted one from long range at 7:43, Milwaukee responded with an 11-0 scoring run to pull within two (52-50) with just over two minutes left in the contest. Hall then scored the key 3-pointer 1:32 later and the Titans had a 4-of-7 showing at the charity stripe in the closing seconds to help secure its nine point victory.

Sandi Brown (Toledo, OH) came off the bench to collect her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Senior Traci Edwards and Imperiale each scored 12 points for Milwaukee, while Edwards pulled down a game-best seven caroms, all on the defensive end.
Detroit shot 35 percent on the night (20-of-57), while UWM had a 19-of-54 showing from the field. The Panthers edged the Titans on the boards, 37-35, while Detroit collected eight steals to the Panther's seven.
This marks the third time this season that Detroit has had at least four players score in double figures with the first coming at Eastern Michigan (Dec. 20) and the second against Valparaiso (Jan. 10).
The Titans will return to action when they host Green Bay at Calihan Hall on Valentine's Day at 2 p.m.
