SERIES RECORD
Detroit owns a 30-7 overall record against Cleveland State, including a 12-5 mark when playing on the Vikings home court. The Titans have won seven of the past 10 meetings against CSU, with the last victory coming at Calihan Hall on Feb. 16 (68-57). The Vikings won the first game of the series this year by a score of 70-55 in Detroit on Jan. 22. The last time UDM captured a victory in Cleveland against the Vikings was on Jan. 11, 2007 (64-61).
ABOUT CLEVELAND STATE
Cleveland State (15-10) heads into Saturday's contest third in the Horizon League with a 9-4 mark in conference play. The Vikings have won their past two games, including a 51-43 victory against Wright State at home on Feb. 19. The last league loss for CSU was at Green Bay on Feb. 7 (69-54) and the last time the Vikings lost at the Wolstein Center was against the Phoenix by a score of 65-49 on Jan. 8. Three players average double figures for the Vikings with Kailey Klein leading the way with 17.3 points per game, while Dominique Butler averages a team-best 7.2 rebounds per contest.

Sandi Brown led all scorers and tied her career-high of 27 points at Youngstown State on Feb. 19. This marks the highest single point scoring showing from a Detroit player thus far this year and it is the fourth time this season in which a Titan player has scored 20 or more points.
JT MAKES HER MARK

Jaleesa Trussell came off the bench this past Thursday and battled through to end tied for a game second-best 16 points after shooting 6-of-11 from the field. Trussell made all four attempts at the line and also added a personal-best five rebounds. Trussell saw a season-high 24 minutes of action and also contributed one assist and two steals against the Penguins.
ROAD REGULAR SEASON FINALE
Since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02), Detroit owns a 3-5 overall record in its last regular season road game. The last time the Titans won their final regular season road contest was a 58-54 victory at Cleveland State on Feb. 21, 2004.
SCOREBOARD READS 70 OR MORE
Detroit has scored 70 or more points five times this season and the Titans have won all of those contests. The most recent, outside of UDM's 70-62 win at Youngstown State (Feb. 19), was a 73-50 victory over the Penguins at Calihan Hall on Jan. 24.
IN THE RECORD BOOKS

Sandi Brown cracked the top 20 in Detroit's record books earlier this season. With her 27 point showing at Youngstown State, Brown catapulted into the 18th slot, surpassing current UDM assistant coach Carrie Banks, as Brown now owns 905 points. Banks ended her four-year career (1996-00) with 893 total points.

Sandi Brown matched her career-high of 27 points to help lead the Titans to a 70-62 victory over Youngstown State in a Horizon League match-up on Feb. 19 at the Beeghly Center.
Brown shot 10-of-16 from the field and made all seven attempts at the line to end with a game-high 27, while Detroit freshman
Jaleesa Trussell added a career-high and team second-best 16 points. Junior
Chanica Hall also scored in double figures with 13, while Brown grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Brown scored 11 points in the first half, with the first field goal coming at 13:51 to tie the game at seven, which sparked an 11-0 scoring run for the Titans. During this span, junior
Brigid Mulroy collected a steal in front of the Penguins bench and handed it off to Trussell. Trussell was able to battle her way through a group of defenders and netted a field goal in the paint for two of her eight points of the opening stanza.
Youngstown State mirrored the Titans' effort as the Penguins had an 11-0 scoring run of their own to push ahead of Detroit, 18-16, with just under seven minutes remaining. Hall pulled Detroit within two at 2:51 as she drained one from long range off an assist from Brown. With seven seconds on the clock, Brown hit a midrange jumper to knot the game at 29, which was the score heading into the break.
Detroit jumped out to a 57-42 lead with just over eight minutes left in the game After Brown and Trussell scored a combined 14 unanswered points. Detroit had its largest lead of 16, twice, with the last coming at 3:16 after Brown netted a 2-pointer off an assist from Mulroy to put the score at 67-51. YSU responded with a 7-0 scoring run, but Jones and Hall added to Detroit's point total in the closing minutes of the game to help secure the victory for the Titans.
As a team, Detroit shot 46 percent from the field (26-of-57), while the Penguins had a 23-of-51 showing on the evening. The Titans outrebounded YSU, 34-27, and Detroit also had a 15-8 advantage in steals, with four going to freshman
Jalesa Jones. UDM shot a resounding 80 percent from the free throw line as the Titans only missed four of their 20 attempts.
Westley came off the bench to lead the Penguins with 16 points. YSU senior Kelsey Gurganus scored a team second-best 15 points, while senior Ashley Pendleton grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
STREAK SNAPPED
The Titans' 59-50 victory on Feb. 12 snapped a seven game losing streak against Milwaukee as Detroit had not beaten the Panthers the past seven tries. The last win for UDM against UWM came on March 3, 2005 by a score of 59-49 in Wisconsin and the last time the Titans defeated Milwaukee in Detroit was on Feb. 8, 2001 by a score of 84-79.

As a team, Detroit set a couple season-highs against Valparaiso on Feb. 6 in rebounds (49) and made free throws (25). The previous season-bests were both set at Loyola on Jan. 3 with 47 rebounds and 22 free throws.
STEALING AWAY
Detroit's 13 steals against YSU on Jan. 24 matches its season-high from UDM's 76-75 double overtime victory at Eastern Michigan (Dec. 20).
OVERTIME AT CALIHAN
Detroit's overtime game against Valparaiso on Jan. 10 marked the first time the Titans played an extra session at Calihan Hall since a 74-73 setback against Milwaukee on Jan. 27, 2005.
ANOTHER FIRST
In her first Horizon League game at the helm of the Detroit Titans women's basketball program, head coach Autumn Rademacher notched a 71-64 win at Loyola on Jan. 3.

TWO EXTRA SESSIONS
Prior to Detroit's 76-75 double-overtime win at Eastern on Dec. 20, 2008, the last time the Titans played in a double overtime contest was a 107-102 setback to Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1983 in Detroit.
PLENTY OF POINTS
The 76 point showing at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 marks the most points the Titans have scored in a single game since a 78-65 victory against Wright State in Detroit on Feb. 19, 2004.
VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Detroit Titans made history on Nov. 22 as UDM defeated #23 Georgia by a score of 70-66 at Calihan Hall. This marked the first time since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02) in which the Titans defeated a ranked opponent. UDM now owns a 1-11 mark in this category.
GOING BACK IN TIME
Detroit's win over Southeastern Conference member school, Georgia, was the first win against an SEC school since Nov. 23, 1979 when the Titans defeated Louisiana State by a score of 84-76 in Detroit. Prior to Saturday's victory, the Titans had lost 13 straight to SEC schools.
COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher coached her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against #23 Georgia and Detroit came out on the winning end, 70-66. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), Rademacher and the eight full-time head coaches prior, now own a collective 4-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.
DETROIT INKS THREE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans, beginning with the 2009-10 season. The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).
FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
