SERIES RECORD
Detroit owns a 31-21 all-time record against Butler, including an 11-14 mark when playing on the Bulldogs home court. Butler has won the past seven meetings, including a 71-48 victory in Detroit earlier this season (Jan. 8). The last time the Titans defeated the Bulldogs was on Jan. 12, 2006 by a score of 71-69 at Calihan Hall and Feb. 5, 2004 marks the last time Detroit won at Hinkle (55-49).
ABOUT BUTLER
Butler (13-8) heads into Sunday's match-up second in the Horizon League with an 8-2 conference record. The Bulldogs had an eight game winning streak snapped at Green Bay on Jan. 29 (58-53) and also dropped a 63-58 decision at Milwaukee two days later. Butler won its last outing by a score of 58-45 to visiting Wright State on Feb. 6. Melanie Thornton averages a team-best 11.3 points per game, as well as a conference third-best 8.0 rebounds per contest.

Sandi Brown cracked the top 20 in Detroit's record books as she now owns 845 career points to sit in the 20th slot. Terri Ford, who played for the Titans from 1986-90, is 19th with 890 career points.

SEASON-HIGHS
As a team, Detroit set a couple season-highs against Valparaiso on Feb. 6 in rebounds (49) and made free throws (25). The previous season-bests were both set at Loyola on Jan. 3 with 47 rebounds and 22 free throws.
DID YOU KNOW?
When the Titans allow fewer than 60 points, as they did against Valparaiso (47), Detroit owns a 4-0 record. UDM is also 4-0 thus far this season when the Titans score between 70 and 79 points.

LAST TIME OUT
Detroit's women's basketball team shot 25-of-30 from the line and outscored Valparaiso by 15 points in the second half to help secure a 62-47 victory in a Horizon League match-up at the Athletics-Recreation Center in Indiana on Feb. 6.

Heather Hatter each netted 13 points for Detroit, which tied Hatter's career-high, while junior
Chanica Hall added 11 for the Titans. Hall dished out a game-high and personal-best eight assists, while senior
Sandi Brown grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for her fourth double carom showing thus far this year.
After being down 13-3 with 12:51 on the clock, Detroit responded with seven unanswered points, five of which came from Mulroy. Then, freshman
Lauren Allen pulled UDM within one (14-13) after draining a 3-pointer and Allen then gave the Titans their first lead at 2:30 after sinking another trey to put the score at 17-16.
Detroit held Valpo without a field goal for 11:40, which was snapped by junior Sylwia Zabielewicz who hit a midrange jumper at 1:11 to give the Crusaders a 20-19 advantage. Hatter tied the game at 21 about 20 seconds later (21-21) and Hall dished out a pass to Mulroy with 10 seconds remaining to end the half tied at 25.
After a 3-pointer from senior Leah Hochstetler pushed Valpo ahead by one (31-30) at 13:24, that was the last the Crusaders would have a lead the remainder of the contest. Detroit responded with a 12-4 run, which included eight consecutive free throws, four from Hall. Freshman
Jaleesa Trussell pushed Detroit's lead to double figures (41-52) after sinking a trey with just over five minutes remaining. Trussell also helped give the Titans their largest lead (62-45) after making both free throw attempts with eight seconds left in the game.
The Titans owned the boards as they pulled down a season-high 49 rebounds to Valpo's 35 and Detroit ended with 12 assists to the Crusaders' nine. At one point during the game, Detroit made 20 straight free throws to help with its 83 percent showing at the line.
WHERE ARE THE TITANS?
Prior to the games on Feb. 7, senior
Sandi Brown was sixth among conference peers in scoring average (12.4 ppg), while junior
Brigid Mulroy stood tied for 13th (11.0 ppg). In addition, Brown was sixth in rebounding (6.8 rpg), 10th in field goal pct. (.789), seventh in steals (2.2), fourth in offensive rebounds (2.5) and sixth in defensive rebounds (4.3). Mulroy sat ninth in 3-point FG percentage (.372) and third in 3-pointers made (2.0), while junior
Chanica Hall ranked fourth in both assists per game (4.1) and assist/turnover ratio (1.3). In addition, freshman
Jalesa Jones was tied for seventh in assists per game (3.1) and was ninth in assist/turnover ratio (1.0).
MARGIN OF VICTORY
Detroit's 73-50 victory over Youngstown State on Jan. 24 marks the largest margin of victory for the Titans thus far this season since a 61-51 defeat over Colgate in New York on Nov. 29.
STEALING AWAY
Detroit's 13 steals against YSU on Jan. 24 matches its season-high from UDM's 76-75 double overtime victory at Eastern Michigan (Dec. 20).
OVERTIME AT CALIHAN
Detroit's overtime game against Valparaiso on Jan. 10 marked the first time the Titans played an extra session at Calihan Hall since a 74-73 setback against Milwaukee on Jan. 27, 2005.
ANOTHER FIRST
In her first Horizon League game at the helm of the Detroit Titans women's basketball program, head coach Autumn Rademacher notched a 71-64 win at Loyola on Jan. 3.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Two Titans registered double-doubles against Loyola on Jan. 3 in redshirt freshman
Talicia Washington and senior
Sandi Brown. Washington scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Brown pulled down a game-high 11 caroms and poured in 12 points.
TWO EXTRA SESSIONS
Prior to Detroit's 76-75 double-overtime win at Eastern on Dec. 20, 2008, the last time the Titans played in a double overtime contest was a 107-102 setback to Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1983 in Detroit.
PLENTY OF POINTS
The 76 point showing at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 marks the most points the Titans have scored in a single game since a 78-65 victory against Wright State in Detroit on Feb. 19, 2004.
VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Detroit Titans made history on Nov. 22 as UDM defeated #23 Georgia by a score of 70-66 at Calihan Hall. This marked the first time since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02) in which the Titans defeated a ranked opponent. UDM now owns a 1-11 mark in this category.
GOING BACK IN TIME
Detroit's win over Southeastern Conference member school, Georgia, was the first win against an SEC school since Nov. 23, 1979 when the Titans defeated Louisiana State by a score of 84-76 in Detroit. Prior to Saturday's victory, the Titans had lost 13 straight to SEC schools.
COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher coached her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against #23 Georgia and Detroit came out on the winning end, 70-66. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), Rademacher and the eight full-time head coaches prior, now own a collective 4-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.
DETROIT INKS THREE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans, beginning with the 2009-10 season. The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).
FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
