Two events in three days came to an end as the Detroit Titans men's track and field team completed the final day of the EMU Twilight on Saturday.
Sophomore
Lesley Hanna (Exuma, Bahamas/Coakley) help lead the men's 4x400-meter relay squad (
John LaRocca,
Joe LaRocca,
Kevin Wozniak) to a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:18.20. In the race, Hanna eclipsed his 400m career best with a 47.85.
The Titans had three runners place in the top 30 in the 800m with junior
Alex Gould (Comstock Park, MI/Comstock Park) leading the way with an 11-place effort with a time of 1:55.64, just missing his career mark. Junior
Kevin Wozniak (Dearborn, MI/Edsel Ford) finished 16th in 1:57.80, the fastest time for him in the event since the 2007 Horizon League Championships, while senior
John LaRocca (Eastpointe, MI/De LaSalle Collegiate) reached a PR with a run of 2:01.58, good for 26th place.
Detroit will now get ready for the Hillsdale relays set for next Friday and Saturday on the campus of Hillsdale College.
