Live Stats

The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team (0-1-0) will continue its play on the road as the Titans will face IPFW (1-1-0) at Hefner Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off slated for 2 p.m.

In UDM's last outing, senior Nick Dreshaj (Clinton Twp., MI/Chippewa Valley) tied the game at the 75:20 mark off an assist from freshman Kevin Pinkos (Clarkston, MI/Clarkston). This goal helped send it into overtime, but the Titans came up short as IUPUI scored six minutes into the extra session to end with a 2-1 victory.

In IPFW's last outing, the Mastodons defeated Western Michigan at Hefner Stadium by a score of 2-0. Junior Casey Bowman helped contribute to this victory as he tallied three points after scoring the first goal and assisting on the second, while teammate sophomore Max Touloute tacked on the second goal for IPFW.

The Titans are 6-1-1 all-time against the Mastodons, with the last match-up between these two squads in Ft. Wayne, IN, ending in a 2-2 tie on Sept. 12, 2007. In 2008, UDM won by a score of 2-0 on Oct. 22 in Detroit with sophomore Adam Philp (Windsor, ON/St. Joseph's Catholic) scoring both goals for the Titans. The lone loss for UDM came by a 3-2 overtime score on Sept. 19, 2003 on IPFW's home field.

Following the game on Sunday, Detroit's next two contests will take place at the Gonzaga Tournament, with the first match-up happening against Oregon State on Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m.
