DETROIT – Saturday's match between Detroit and Butler will have huge implications on the Horizon League Tournament, as the Titans will try to prevent the Bulldogs from locking in as the top seed. The action will begin at 2:00 p.m.
The Titans (7-6-2, 4-2-0 Horizon) have been playing good soccer lately as they are 4-0-1 in their last five games. Butler (14-0-1, 6-0-0 Horizon) has been solid all year long as they are currently one of three unbeaten teams in the nation. The Bulldogs sit on top of the Horizon League standings with a perfect record of 6-0 in league play, while the Titans are currently tied for second with Green Bay at 4-2.
After multiple close losses to start the season, Detroit has turned things around at the perfect time. The Titans have only lost one game in October as they come into Saturday's match with momentum after shutting out Buffalo 1-0 at UB Stadium on Tuesday. Butler will also be coming in on a high note as they most recently defeated #25 Indiana 4-1 at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday.

The Titans offensive attack is led by junior
Ya Ya Toure (Ypsilanti, Mich./Willow Run) who leads the team with 16 points. Toure has a team-high seven goals and has added two assists this season.
Sam Seppo (Port Huron, Mich./Port Huron) is right behind Toure with 12 points in 2010. Seppo is second on the team with six goals.
Freshman
Adam Bedell (Livonia, Mich./Churchill) has made an immediate impact on the team during his first season. The 6-6 midfielder leads the team with seven assists. He leads every freshman in the country by averaging 0.5 assists per game. Sophomore
Kevin Pinkos (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) has also proven to be a scoring threat as he has three goals to go along with an assist for Detroit.
The Bulldogs bring a balanced offensive attack to Titan Field as five players have at least 10 points on the year. Ben Sippola is having a fantastic senior season as he leads the team in nearly every offensive category. Sippola has seven goals and eight assists through 15 games giving him 22 points. Adekunle Oluyedun, Kyle Pateros, Matt Hedges, and Austin Oldham round out the attack for Butler with four goals each.

Brandon Waterstradt (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) has been on fire since returning from an early season injury. The sophomore is 7-1-1 in nine games of action with three shutouts. He averages 5.75 saves per game, placing him sixth in the nation. Fabian Knopfler is equally impressive for Butler. Knopfler is 13-0-1 on the year with six shutouts. He has made 33 saves and has only allowed eight goals in over 1,300 minutes of action.
