Sally Trombly Named Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach

Head coach Autumn Rademacher has announced the hiring of Sally Trombly as the women's basketball graduate assistant coach for the 2010-11 season.

Trombly's responsibilities with the program include organizing and exchanging film, assisting in on-campus recruiting, and working on multiple office administration tasks.

“I am very excited about the addition of Sally Trombly to our staff,” Rademacher said. “She brings positive energy daily and has a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for the game of basketball. I am really looking forward to having her as a part of the Detroit Titan women's basketball program.”

Trombly has a strong athletic background. She was a letter winner in softball at Albion College. Before her time at Albion, Trombly was a first team All-State selection as a senior at Mt. Pleasant High School while playing first base.

Before arriving on campus, Trombly worked as a freelance writer in the Michigan area. Her articles have appeared in Traverse Magazine, Traverse City Business News, and online at ehow.com. Trombly also received a clinical massage therapy certification in 2005.

A native of Mt. Pleasant, Trombly now resides in Ferndale. She is pursuing her teaching certification at Detroit, as she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College.
