DETROIT-- CollegeInsider.com released its first Mid-Major Top 25 poll and the Titans sit in the 15th spot. Gonzaga sits atop the preseason rankings with six Horizon League teams garnering votes in the poll.
Butler is second in the poll, part of three HL schools in the top 25 (Cleveland State- 22). Creighton, George Mason and Brigham Young all tallied one first-place vote. League schools Milwaukee (23), Valparaiso (7) and Green Bay (6) were listed in the other receiving votes. The first poll of the regular season is due out Nov. 14.
The Mid-Major Poll, now in its 13th season of existence, is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast.
