Detroit is in search of its first win on the season after seeing some close games go against them. UDM has lost its three games by a combined nine points, including a pair of two-point outcomes. Freshman Shareta Brown continues to have a great start to her collegiate career leading the team in scoring (18.3), rebounding (10.7), steals (2.6) and field goal percentage (.526). Senior Jalesa Jones tops the team in assists at 4.3 per game, while junior Chanahl Putnam is averaging 12.0 ppg., and has a team-high nine 3-pointers.

The Falcons come into the contest at 1-2, but are coming off a 71-54 victory over Evansville at home on Sunday. Prior to that, the Falcons dropped a nailbiter to Purdue, 54-53, and lost 69-38 in the season opener at Dayton.

Chrissy Steffen leads the team in scoring early on with 11.7 points per game. Danielle Havel is averaging 8 ppg., and 6.7 rpg., while Alexis Rogers is tallying 5.3 ppg., and 6.7 pg. As a team, Bowling Green is shooting just 22% from three-point range hitting 12-of-54 from downtown.

Tickets to the game start at $6 for adults and $4 for seniors (60 and older) and children (13 and younger). For more information on tickets to Titan events, visiting the Titan Ticket Office by clicking here or call Titan Athletics at 313-993-1700.

THE DETROIT-BOWLING GREEN SERIES
The Titans trail the all-time series, 12-10, with Bowling Green on a six-game winning streak.

The Titans controlled the series early on winning the first five match-ups and seven of the first nine. The teams first met on Nov. 29, 1977 as the Titans took down BGSU, 72-51, at home.

UDM is 6-5 in the Motor City against BGSU, but the road team has won the last three meetings in Calihan Hall.

ABOUT BOWLING GREEN
The Falcons come into the game at 1-2, but are coming off a 71-54 victory over Evansville at home on Sunday. Chrissy Steffen led BGSU with 16 points, while Noelle Yoder netted 14. Bowling Green forced 23 turnovers and came away with 15 steals, turning those opportunities into 23 points. Prior to that, the Falcons dropped a close one to Purdue, 54-53, and lost 69-38 in the season opener at Dayton.

Steffen leads the team in scoring early on with 11.7 points per game. Danielle Havel is averaging 8 ppg., and 6.7 rpg., while Alexis Rogers is tallying 5.3 ppg., and 6.7 pg. As a team, Bowling Green is shooting just 22% from three-point range hitting 12-of-54 from downtown.

The Falcons have been the class of the MAC claiming seven straight regular season titles with five MAC Tournament championships, resulting in bids to the NCAA Tournament. Nine letterwinners are back from a team that went 28-5 a year ago with a MAC championship, but BGSU did lose four starters from that group. Despite that, Bowling Green was the preseason pick to win the MAC East Division, with Steffen earning preseason All-MAC accolades.

LAST TIME OUT
Detroit once again mounted a second-half comeback, but the Titans saw their game-tying shot just rim out as UDM dropped a 60-58 contest to Howard in the final game of the Preseason WNIT Consolation Round.

Freshman Shareta Brown led the way with 14 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double in three games. She also came away with a team-high three steals and had a block.

Junior Chanahl Putnam had 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting, while junior Yar Shayok came close to a double-double finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Detroit was down by as many as nine in the second half, but actually came back to take a lead at 58-56, with 1:25 left.

The game was tied for the eighth time at 58-all when Howard knocked in a basket with just one minute left, and then the Bison regained the lead with 34 seconds on the clock. Detroit took control of the ball and would end up calling a timeout with nine seconds left.

The game-tying play saw the Titans find Brown down low and the rookie made a great move and got to the rim, but the shot just came off as the Bison claimed the defensive rebound with one second left in regulation.

UP NEXT
The Titans busy schedule of five games in nine days continues as the Titans will spend Thanksgiving in Texas as UDM participates in the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic in San Antonio.

The Titans will face Utah out of the Pac-12 on Friday and host University of Texas at San Antonio on Saturday. Both games will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. (EST).

PUTNAM GETTING DOUBLE DIGITS
Junior Chanahl Putnam has been in double digits in scoring in all three games this season after netting 13 against Howard.

She also had 13 against Drexel and started the season with 10 at Indiana State.

Putnam has also helped out in other ways totaling three assists, three rebounds and two steals against the Dragons and four assists versus the Sycamores.

CHANAHL FROM DOWNTOWN
Junior Chanahl Putnam has hit three 3-pointers in all three games this season. Her shooting percentage from three has also improved going from 3-of-11 at Indiana State, to 3-of-8 against Drexel to hitting 50% on a 3-of-6 effort versus Howard.

The last Titan to hit at least three 3-pointers in three-straight games was Cherridy Thornton who accomplished that feat in four straight last season.

AGAINST THE MAC
The Titans are 70-60 all-time against current teams from the Mid-American Conference.

Since head coach Autumn Rademacher took over the reins as the Titan leader, Detroit is 4-4 against the league with a pair of wins over Eastern Michigan along with triumphs against Western Michigan and Ball State.

Last season, UDM was 3-1 versus the MAC, with the lone blemish at Bowling Green.

AGAINST THE STATE OF OHIO
Detroit is 106-104 all-time against schools from the state of Ohio.

While the Titans have enjoyed success against the Horizon League schools based in Ohio (31-11 vs. Cleveland State, 20-17 vs. Wright State, 16-12 vs. Youngstown State), Detroit has actually not won a non-conference game against an Ohio school since taking a 47-44 victory over Ohio on Nov. 29, 2003. During this span, the Titans have dropped 12-straight out of conference games to the Buckeye State.

TITANS AT CALIHAN HALL
The Titans were 7-7 at home last year and are 16-8 in their last 24 home games.

UDM has a 24-19 ledger in Calihan Hall since head coach Autumn Rademacher returned to her alma mater in 2008.

In 34 years of play in the Motor City, the Titans have enjoyed a 252-141 (.634) home court record. During the 2009-10 season, UDM was 10-6 at home, including 8-1 in conference play.

Away from Calihan, Detroit has posted a 245-335 all-time record.

Detroit will have just 13 home games this year and just one in November.

UDM HOLDING OPPONENTS FROM THREE
Detroit is doing a good job getting out on defenders as the Titans are holding opponents to just 25% shooting from three-point range on the season.

UDM has seen its opponents connect on just 8-of-31 from long range and that includes a pair of teams that are historically good at shooting the three in Indiana State and Drexel.

OH SO CLOSE

The Titans might be 0-3, but with just a little luck, Detroit could easily be 3-0. UDM has dropped its first three games by a combined nine points, including a pair of two-point setbacks at Indiana State and against Howard.

Even more frustrating is that against the Sycamores and Bison, the Titans actually had a chance to win or tie in the final 30 seconds, but could not get a shot off at the buzzer at ISU, while freshman Shareta Brown's layup versus Howard just rimmed out.

LOOKING FOR A SCHOOL RECORD
Senior Jalesa Jones took another step towards her pursuit of a school record as her five assists against Howard moved her into sixth place in the school records books with 368 career helpers. She is now just 14 away from Carrie Banks' fifth-place mark of 382 as well as 119 away from claiming the school record.

If she does break the Titan record of 486 - held by Mary Lillie - she will pass another familiar name in current head coach Autumn Rademacher (3rd-429)
As a freshman, Jones had 84 assists, while collecting 159 as a sophomore and 112 last year. For her career, she is tallying 3.8 apg.

DETROIT DOMINATING THE OFFENSIVE GLASS
With its skill and size inside, the Titans have done a number on the offensive glass this season, holding a 48-29 advantage through the first three games. Freshman Shareta Brown leads the way with 16 offensive rebounds, while junior Yar Shayok has six.

The offensive boards have led the Titans to outscoring their opponents, 47-26, in second chance points on the year.

In terms of total rebounding, Detroit owns a + 6.3 in rebounding margin in its first three games.

SHAYOK ON HER WAY TO SIXTH
Junior forward Yar Shayok pulled down nine rebounds against Howard and now has 645 career boards, just three away from moving into sixth place in school history.
After she passes Lydia Johnson's sixth-place total of 648, Shayok will have some work to do to get into the top five as next on the list is Molly Peterman at 769.

APPROACHING 3,000 MINUTES
Senior Jalesa Jones Is just 26 minutes away from crossing the 3,000-minute mark in her career.

A point guard who saw immediate playing time right from her freshman year, Jones averaged 26.5 minutes as a rookie, 35.5 as a sophomore and 30.6 as a junior. Through three games in her senior year, the Titan leader is still on the floor more than anybody tallying a team-best 34.3 minutes per game.
