It's Go Time!  -- On Dec. 5, Titan Basketball will honor one of college basketball's premiere ambassadors, our former coach Dick Vitale.  A national audience will witness the event as Dick returns to the Motor City for a special pre-game ceremony as we officially dedicate Dick Vitale Court at Calihan Hall.  The University of Detroit Mercy invites the greater Detroit area to be part of the special event with a limited number of game tickets still available for the evening.

“Detroit is AWESOME, Baby” and there will be a number of billboards throughout the metro Detroit area thanking Dick Vitale for his commitment to the University of Detroit athletic success from 1973-1978 and also for his ability to bring the excitement of college basketball to fans throughout the years with ESPN.  The Titans will take on the St. John's Red Storm and head coach Steve Lavin in a nationally-televised game.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. with the tribute ceremony for Dick Vitale beginning at 6:00 p.m.
