DETROIT -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will hit the road for two games this week against ECAC teams, starting with a trip to Ohio State on Thursday. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., and the contest will be played indoors at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

A live game chat will take place on the Titan BlogSpot (the link will be available on Thursday afternoon). A free live stats link is available for the game, while fans can also catch all the action with a live video feed (with a paid subscription) on the Ohio State website. All three links are located on top of the page.

Detroit opened its season with a 13-5 setback at No. 17 Delaware last Saturday. Freshman Shayne Adams notched three goals in the game, while junior Scott Harris tallied a goal and two helpers. Sophomore #A.J. Levell# made a career-high 17 saves in the contest, and sophomore Jordan Houtby had a career-best nine ground balls and six caused turnovers.

The game will be the season opener for Ohio State, who ended last season at 7-8. The Buckeyes did receive votes in the preseason United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches poll, released on Jan. 31. OSU is 2-0 all-time against the Titans.

On Saturday, Detroit will travel to Louisville, KY, for a showdown with the Bellarmine Knights. That game is slated for a 1:00 p.m., start at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

That game will also feature a free live stats and a live video feed on a pay-per-view setting. Those links are located on the schedule page.

The game will also be the season opener for Bellarmine, who posted a 9-6 record in 2010. The Knights have won the previous two meetings against Detroit.
