DETROIT -- Detroit native and former collegiate player Stephanie Douglas has joined the Titan women's basketball staff as a graduate assistant coach, announced head coach Autumn Rademacher.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Stephanie to the Titan family,” said coach Rademacher. “She has a solid basketball background and that will make her a great asset to the program”
Her immediate duties will be film exchange and video preparation, but she will be involved in a number of aspects of the program as she attends school working to earn her master's in Educational Administration.
Douglas comes to the program after serving as an assistant coach with Chandler Park Academy, working with the girl's middle and high school teams. She also was part of BELL (Building Educational Leaders for Life), a non-profit organization that helps academic achievements, self-confidence, and life trajectories of children living in under-resourced, urban communities.
Douglas was a standout performer in high school at both Renaissance and Martin Luther King high school in Detroit. She then went on to play collegiate basketball at Temple before transferring to Meridian Community College (MS) and ending her career at Ball State. She graduated from BSU in 2007 with a degree in General Studies and minors in Sociology and Interpersonal Relations
