Green Bay – the preseason favorite in the HL -has won five in a row and stands at 10-2 on the season. The two losses have been away from home as the Phoenix has won 11-straight at the Kress Events Center, tied for the 13th longest in the nation. THE DETROIT-GREEN BAY SERIES
The Phoenix lead the all-time series, 36-7.
UDM is 2-19 all-time in road games against Green Bay with head coach Autumn Rademacher a part of the two wins. Detroit defeated the Phoenix, 63-55, on Mar. 9, 1997, when a Titan team led by Coach Rademacher won their first Horizon League Championship title.
The other was last season when the Titans ended Green Bay's perfect season with a 70-58 victory, a win that put a halt to Green Bay's school record 40-game regular season winning streak as well as the Phoenix 36-game regular season winning streak over Horizon League teams.
CONFERENCE OPENERS
Detroit is 14-12 all-time in HL openers and 13-13 in conference road openers.
UDM has twice started its league play in Green Bay falling 76-59 in 2001 and 69-62 in 2010.
COACH RAD NEARING A MILESTONE
Head coach Autumn Rademacher has 69 career wins at Detroit, just one away from tying Sue Kreszewski (1977-80) - the first coach in Titan history - for third in the school record book.
Fred Procter (1990-96) leads UDM with 93 career wins, while DeWayne Jones (1983-90) is at 91.
When Coach Rademacher took over her alma mater in 2008, UDM was coming off back-to-back last-place finishes in the HL and had just 11 total wins from 2006-08.
In her time, Detroit has posted two winning seasons, a 20-win campaign, four-straight years with a conference tournament victory and a trip to the WNIT in 2012, the first postseason action for UDM since the 1997 NCAA Tournament.
WE MEET AGAIN
Detroit head coach Autumn Rademacher and Green Bay head coach Kevin Borseth were both members of the same coaching staff at Green Bay.
For three seasons (2004-07), Rademacher was an assistant to Borseth as the Phoenix won two Horizon League titles and made two NCAA tournament appearances as well as an NIT showing.
As a head coach, Rademacher's Titans defeated a Michigan team coached by Borseth, 67-48, in Ann Arbor on Dec. 18, 2010
