MILWAUKEE (10/17/2015) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team played league-unbeaten Milwaukee tough on a chilly night, but the Titans dropped the road match, 1-0, in Horizon League action from Engelmann Field.
With the loss, Detroit moves to 6-7-2 overall and 2-3-1 in Horizon League play. Meanwhile, Milwaukee moves to 9-3-2 on the season and 6-0 in conference action.
The Titans out-shot Milwaukee in the first half, 4-2, but the Panthers got on the board early in the second frame and made the goal last throughout the final 40-plus minutes of action.
HOW IT HAPPENED• Milwaukee had three corner kicks in the first seven minutes of the contest, but the Detroit defense was up to the task early on.

Sara Zawacki tallied the first shot of the opening frame for the Titans, sending a shot wide in the 19th minute.
• The Titans had three shots in the final 10 minutes of the first half. Lotito put a shot on goal in the 41st minute, while
Tatum Zurawski also had a header opportunity in the 43rd minute.
• The Panthers got on the scoreboard just after the second half started as Detroit gave up an own-goal, while trying to clear the ball.
• Borawski had a chance later in the second half, but sent her shot wide of the goal.

Carley Rice and
Phylisha Drayton also had shots in the second half for the Titans, but Detroit was unable to score the equalizer.
