DETROIT (10/3/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team takes a break from the Horizon League schedule on Tuesday afternoon, hosting Fort Wayne in a 3 p.m. match at Titan Field. The game is set to be streamed live on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN Applications.
The game on Tuesday is the program's annual Pink Game with all proceeds from the contest going towards the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Admission into the game is FREE and all fans that attend also will receive free Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donuts.
Detroit Mercy has performed well against Fort Wayne, previously IPFW, holding a 10-2-3 record against the Mastodons in the yearly series that began in 2001.

Nicholas Deren '99Â enters his seventh full year as the leader of the men's soccer program. A former player for the University, Deren has spent the last 13 seasons with the Detroit Mercy men's soccer program as an assistant coach or head coach.
• Detroit Mercy is set to honor the 1996 NCAA Tournament Team in a 20-year reunion on Oct. 15, a home game against Wright State. The team will be honored at halftime of the match and a pregame ceremony is set to take place inside Calihan Hall.

The Titans scored first on the road against Milwaukee with junior defender
Tyler Hughes jumping into the box and scoring off a cross from classmate
Spiro Pliakos in the 32nd minute. It was Hughes' first goal of the season. Milwaukee scored just seconds before halftime and added a free kick marker in the second half for the winning tally. Detroit Mercy led in corner kicks during the contest, 4-2, but the Panthers had the advantage in shots, 20-14.
Scouting Fort Wayne
The Mastodons are winners in three of their past four matches and sit at 6-4 overall and 1-1 in the Summitt League after 10 games. Fort Wayne is 1-3 in matches played away from home this season, which includes a 2-1 loss at Western Michigan early in the season. Fort Wayne has played two Horizon League opponents this season, beating Green Bay on the road and earning a 2-0 triumph over Northern Kentucky at home.
Oscar Uyamadu and Jacob Murphy are the team's leading goal scorers with six apiece. Uyamadu leads the team in total points (14), shots (47), shots on goal (19) and game-winning goals (3). Zach Tom (4g, 2a) is third on the team with 10 points, while Thilo Korperich (4g, 1a) is just behind with nine points. As a team, Fort Wayne has scored 24 goals in 10 games, while allowing 20 goals to its opponents. In net, Jorge Trujillo has played in nine matches and has made 30 total saves.

The Titans have played 15 matches all-time against Fort Wayne and lead the series 10-2-3. Detroit Mercy is 3-0-1 in its past four matches against the Mastodons and are unbeaten at home against Fort Wayne all-time, holding a 5-0-2 mark in seven contests from Titan Field.

Tyler Moorman. The group has helped the squad to 16 victories total in the last two years, including the two lowest goals against averages in school history. Moorman was named Second Team All-Horizon League last season, leading the squad with seven goals, while Harkema has eight goals in his career, five of them game-winners.
Last Season
The Titans dropped just one game in Horizon League play last season, finishing 3-1-5 in conference action. Detroit Mercy fell in the first round of the Horizon League Championship at Cleveland State, dropping a 1-0 contest in overtime. The Titans finished the season 7-5-8 overall and earned their first victory over the University of Michigan in program history, winning 2-1 over the Wolverines in Ann Arbor in mid-September. Detroit Mercy also set a new school record for draws with eight, finishing just one off the NCAA record for a single season.
Horizon League Preseason Poll
The Titans were selected to finish seventh in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, which was released earlier in August. Detroit Mercy received 38 total votes and finished just behind Milwaukee, who totaled 40 points, in the poll. Oakland and Wright State earned the most votes in the poll with 73 each, while four teams received first-place votes, including three each for Oakland, Wright State and fourth-place Valparaiso.
