DETROIT (10/7/2016) -- The partnership between WADL and the University of Detroit Mercy keeps on growing as the Department of Athletics announced its local television package for the 2016-17 season.
This year will feature 24 Titan basketball games on WADL Detroit-38, including all 12 home women's contests.
"Being a local media owner of both broadcast and radio, I am committed to supporting local sports and the local community," said Kevin Adell, CEO and Owner of WADL.
"We are truly appreciative to have a partner in Kevin Adell who believes in the value of Titan athletics and what it can bring to the city of Detroit," said
Robert C. Vowels, Jr., Director of Athletics at Detroit Mercy. "The opportunity to showcase both our men's and women's basketball teams on local TV is a win-win for all parties, including all the Titan fans in the area."
The station can be seen on a number of cable outlets in the Detroit Metro area including Channel 38 on most televisions (AT&T, Xfinity, DirecTV and Dish Network). WADL is on channel 22 for WOW cable networks and channel 19 for those in the Bright House distribution.
All home men's and women's basketball games as well as conference road games will also be aired online by ESPN3 and can be seen on the WatchESPN App.
Earlier this year, the Titans announced that they were moving their men's basketball radio broadcast to 910 AM Superstation, another Adell owned media property. The station carries a signal of 50,000 watts during the day and close to 30,000 at night. The station can also be heard online with
Cliff Russell serving as the new "Voice of the Titans".
