JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (4/7/2017) -- Sophomore goalkeeper Allison McDonough turned in another standout effort turning away a career-high 16 shots, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team dropped a 22-7 contest to ASUN foe Jacksonville on Friday in Florida.

McDonough, who entered Friday's game as the leader in saves in the conference, tallied her fourth 15-save game of the 2017 campaign during the contest with her 16 stops. A Vero Beach, Florida, native, McDonough has seven double-digit save games this season.

Sophomores Lexie Kinmond and Morgan Girardi each tallied two goals for the Titans, while junior Jordyn Beam finished with one goal and one assist for Detroit Mercy. Junior Lauren Webley added four ground balls and two caused turnovers for the red, white and blue.

Detroit Mercy went 4-of-5 on free-position attempts during the game, with two of those goals coming in the first half, both by Kinmond. She scored off the free-position attempt twice, and junior Brianna Plester added a goal as the Titans trailed Jacksonville at the halftime break, 9-3.

McDonough made 10 of her saves in the opening half, making several big stops on Dolphin shot attempts.

The Titans scored three-straight goals in the second half to cut their deficit to six goals, 12-6, with 22:08 on the clock. Detroit Mercy scored three consecutive markers in the second in a span of 1:56. Girardi scored her 24th goal of the year and it was followed minutes later by Beam's 17th goal of the season at the 22:39 mark.

After an Emma Mucci draw control win, Beam found junior Jessica Snyder on the side of the goal and she converted to force a Jacksonville timeout. Girardi added her second goal of the game later in the half.

Mucci was tough in the draw circle recording a season-high and game-best six draw controls for the Titans. Girardi added three draw controls for the Titans as the squad tallied another double-digit draw control effort.

Webley inched closer to 100 career ground balls, collecting four on the day which gave her 94 in her Titan career. Kinmond was credited with two caused turnovers and added two ground balls. McDonough had a team-best five ground balls in net for Detroit Mercy.

The Titans' 4-for-5 effort on free-position attempts (80 percent) was a season-high. With 11 draw controls, it was Detroit Mercy's 10th game of 10 or more draw controls.
