SOUTH BEND, Ind. (9/15/17) -- Adam Fraeyman led the way for the University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team at the National Catholic Championships on Friday afternoon.
Once Fraeyman found his way across the line, his teammates followed closely behind.
Fraeyman crossed the line with a time of 27:29, just edging out teammate
James McCann, who finished with a time of 27:46.
Close behind McCann was
Greg Ingle with a time of 27:48, 22 seconds faster than his run on the course last year.
Thomas Mueller ran 27:56 in his Notre Dame debut, while
Scott Smith posted a time of 29:23.
The Titans placed tenth overall in the 8k race with 279 points.
Next up for the Titans is the 16th Annual Greater Louisville Classic held at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sept. 30.
