Titans Shine Bright Over Red Flash, 17-7

DETROIT (3/15/2018) -- Seven Titans found the back of the net and the red, white and blue got off to a fast start and never looked back as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team cruised past St. Francis, 17-7, on Thursday on Titan Field.

Kaitlyn Wandelt led the way with seven points on five goals and two assists. Jessica Snyder tallied three goals and Jordyn Beam, Morgan Girardi, Meredith Moore, and Kamryn Corraro each had two apiece.

Allison McDonough led the defense with 14 saves and Beam, Girardi and Moore each had a pair of caused turnovers.

The Titans scored a little more than two minutes into the contest and then led 5-0 just nine minutes into the first half.

Detroit Mercy led 7-1 at one point and took an 11-5 lead into the break as it dominated the game from start to finish to move to 3-3 on the season.

The Titans will now get ready for Duquesne on Saturday, March 17, with game time set for 3 p.m.

A reminder that the game will feature live stats, but will not have ESPN3.

The Titans are 4-7 all-time against the Red Foxes, but these two conference rivals have played some close games with seven contests decided by one goal.
