ANN ARBOR (3/28/18) -- The University of Detroit Mercy softball team suffered a non-conference setback at the hands of #22 Michigan on Wednesday afternoon.
The game was added to the schedule just a few games ago as both coaches decided to add another non-conference game before going full swing into league play.
Kara Vitale,
Jordan Manno and
Sydney Pollock all reached base for the Titans with walks and
Kaitlin Lambert made her first appearance of the season at the plate for the red, white and blue.
The nationally-ranked Wolverines jumped on top of the Titans with three runs in the second and then added more in the third to pull away for the win.
ON DECK
The Titans will head to Youngstown, Ohio, for a three-game series against Penguins this weekend, Mar. 30-31.
