DETROIT (1/11/2019) -- Off to its best conference start in almost 10 years, the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will look for another Horizon League weekend sweep when the Milwaukee Panthers come to town on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Detroit Mercy is 7-10 on the season and 4-1 in the Horizon League, its best start through five games in league play since going 4-1 in 2010-11 and another victory would be the best start in conference action since the Titans were 8-1 in 1998-99.Â
The red, white and blue's four wins have been impressive in conference play as all four have been by double digits with Detroit Mercy averaging 80.0 points in Horizon League games. Detroit Mercy swept the first weekend of league play with victories at Youngstown State and Cleveland State.Â
Senior
Josh McFolley and freshman
Antoine Davis each poured in 29 points in Thursday's 101-83 win over Green Bay. McFolley's was a season high and he also added a season-best five steals as he now has 183 in his career, just 12 away from the school record.Â
Davis continues to set freshman records at Detroit Mercy as his 29 points gave him 466 on the year, passing Ray McCallum's freshman year output of 446 in 2009-10. He also owns the Titan freshman record for points in a game (48) and 3-pointers (85) as he is still chasing the NCAA freshman three-point mark of 122 by Stephen Curry in 2004-05.
