INDIANAPOLIS (1/26/2019) -- Freshman
Willy Isiani drained six 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 20 points, but IUPUI was able to outgun the Titans as the red, white and blue fell, 80-65, on Saturday at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Antoine Davis did not play due to an undisclosed injury and is considered day to day.

Josh McFolley netted 19 points with five assists and three rebounds and junior
Darrell Riley Jr. had seven points and a team-high seven assists.

Harrison Curry scored nine points, pulled down seven rebounds and swatted away a career-high three shots and freshman
Marquis Moore grabbed a season-high seven rebounds.
Detroit Mercy (8-13, 5-4 HL) and IUPUI (13-9, 5-4 HL) traded the lead back and forth early as the game was tied at 9-9 and 11-11. The Titans took a 15-11 and 17-14 lead, but the Jaguars stormed back to jump out in front, 26-17 and never looked back.
The Titans shot 51.0 - percent for the game with 10 from behind the arc and also finished with 10 steals.
Detroit Mercy will be back in the Motor City next week as the red, white and blue host Cleveland State on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m., and Youngstown State on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m., at Calihan Hall.

First Half:
- The teams traded the lead early on as Isiani had the first three baskets of the game for the Titans, all 3-pointers, and the score was tied at 9-9
- Blackshear Jr. then had a dunk to tie it at 11-11 and McFolley had back-to-back baskets for a 15-11 lead just six minutes into the contest
- The Titans then took a 17-14 lead on another McFolley basket at 13:16
- IUPUI then answered with 12-straight points to jump out to a 26-17 advantage with just over eight minutes remaining
- A three by King and a McFolley layup trimmed the deficit to four, 26-22, but IUPUI went into the half up 33-24
Second Half:
- IUPUI started the second half on a 10-0 run to open a 43-24 lead
- The Titans were trailing by 21, 53-32, with 13:24 left when they started trimming the deficit as Curry had back-to-back layups and added a free throw to pull the team within 16, 53-37
- McFolley would later hit a three to make it a 14-point deficit at 56-42 with 10:23 remaining
- IUPUI pushed its lead back to 21, but back came the Titans as Isiani nailed three more triples and to make the score 74-41 with 4:05 left
- That was as close as the Titans would get the rest of the way
Game Notes:
- Despite being just about a four and a half hour drive, this was just the third career meeting between the two schools
- The Titans are the first Horizon League team to play in Indiana Farmers Coliseum since the Horizon League announced the venue as the new site for its men's and women's basketball championship starting in 2000
- Head coach Mike Davis was the head coach at Indiana from 2000-06
- The Titans have used nine different starting line-ups on the year and 11 different Titans have started a game this season
- Detroit Mercy came into the game third in the Horizon League with 9.9, 3-pointers per game
- Moore earned his third start of the season as he was in the starting five in the season opener at Western Michigan and at Akron
- Isiani has 31 shots on the season and all have been from three, with 14 makes
- McFolley is now tied with Rashad Phillips for third in school history with 190 career steals, just six away from owning the school record
- Riley Jr. is the second Titan to have seven assists in a game this season joining Davis, who had seven at Eastern Michigan and home versus Milwaukee
