DETROIT (11/27/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will get to enjoy playing in front of its home crowd as the Titans are set to play nine home contests as the 2020 schedule was officially released today.
Seven of the nine home games will take place on Titan Field - including the first home night game in school history against Robert Morris in March - while the other two will be indoors at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.
The season will get underway with a pair of road games as Detroit mercy visits Jacksonville on Feb. 1 and Ohio State on Feb. 4.
After that, the Titans will play four in a row at home facing Bellarmine (Feb. 18) and Marquette (Feb. 22) indoors at Ultimate Soccer Arenas before hosting Robert Morris under the lights on campus on Mar. 4 at 7 p.m. The homestand will end with conference play opening up as the red, white and blue take on St. Bonaventure on Mar. 14.
After a quick trip to Manhattan on Mar. 21, the Titans will battle Air Force in a non-conference game on Mar. 24 before taking on Siena on Mar. 28.
April will begin with a trip to Jesuit-rival Canisius (4) before a three-game homestand against Marist (11), Cleveland State (14) and Quinnipiac (18). After that, the regular season will conclude at Monmouth on Apr. 25.Â
The MAAC Championships is set for Apr. 30-May 2 at Monmouth as once again the top four teams in the league will compete for a chance at a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Titans return 37 players from last year's team that posted their second-straight winning season overall and second-straight five-win conference campaign.Â
