SOUTH BEND, Ind. (12/6/2019) - The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team finished its season indoor debut with a number of top spots in key events as the Titans participated in Notre Dame's Blue & Gold Invitational on Friday.
Sophomore
Payton Norkey earned second overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.53, while junior
Bonanza Cummings claimed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.91.
Senior
Brendan McClanahan placed fifth in the 800-meters in 1:57 and sophomore
Daniel Lanfear finished fifth in the high jump with a 1.95m mark.
Freshman
Derrick Ball Jr. placed in the top 15 in the long jump with a leap of 6.26m along with freshman
Zachary Zaborney, who was a close .03 meters behind.
Detroit Mercy will now have a few weeks off before the indoor season continues in January .
