MILWAUKEE, Wis. (2/20/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team opens its final regular-season road trip of the 2018-19 campaign Thursday evening, playing in Milwaukee against the Panthers. The opening tip is set for 8 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. local time in Wisconsin.
The game may also be seen on ESPN-Plus. It's the second meeting between the two squads this season after Milwaukee won 62-44 in Detroit on Jan. 20.

Sophia DiMilia has led the Titans in scoring in each of the past four games and was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday. DiMilia has scored 20-plus points in two of the past three games, including a career-high 21 points against UIC in last Thursday's 62-45 win.
• Detroit Mercy went over 200 steals on the season against UIC, swiping 15 balls. The Titans have 212 steals on the season, which is the most since 214 in 2014-15. The red, white and blue rank third in the Horizon League at 8.5 steals per game.

The Titan defense forced IUPUI into nine turnovers in the first quarter and 15 in the first half, while also holding the Jaguars to 29-percent shooting overall in the contest. IUPUI scored under 60 points for just the seventh time in 2018-19 as Detroit Mercy held the Jags to 23 points in the first half.

Scouting Milwaukee
Milwaukee is coming off a 67-47 setback at Youngstown State on Sunday after picking up a 78-60 victory over Cleveland State on the road. The Panthers are 7-7 in the Horizon League entering the weekend, sitting in fifth place in the league standings. It's the final homestand of the regular season for Milwaukee.
Freshman Megan Walstad leads the team during her rookie season in scoring at 11.2 points per game, while ranking second in rebounding (5.3 caroms per game). In Horizon League games, Walstad is shooting 57.7 percent from the floor, which is second in the conference. Ryaen Johnson leads the squad in reboudning at 5.8 rebounds per game and ranks second in the Horizon League in blocks (59) and blocks per game (2.4). As a team, the Panthers are first at 4.9 blocks per game.

The all-time series between the two schools is tied, 28-28, with Milwaukee winning in each of the past three games. Detroit Mercy had previously won four of five against the Panthers. The Titans last won on the road in an 89-79 triumph from the Klotsche Center on Jan. 28, 2016. Under head coach
