INDIANAPOLIS (3/4/2019) -- Just another award to add to his historic season,
Antoine Davis was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week for the seventh time this season, the conference office announced on Monday,
The Titan guard has also been named the HL Player of the Week twice.
Davis averaged 22.5 points and 3.5 assists and rebounds for the Titans in a win over IUPUI and a setback against UIC.
His week started with a NCAA record as he posted 20 points hitting four 3-pointers against the Jaguars, but it was the second that will have his name in the record books as he passed Stephen Curry for the most triples by a freshman in NCAA history with 123. He also added six assists.
He then tallied a team-high 25 points with five boards against the Flames in their regular season finale.
Davis leads the Horizon League in scoring at 26.0 points per game - third in the nation - and now has 126, 3-pointers on the year, just eight away from the school record.
