TERRE HAUTE, IND. (4/20/19) -- University of Detroit Mercy dynamic duo Ben Kendell and Claire Kendell wrapped up from the Drake Relays on Thursday night, both etching a spot in the top 15.

This marks their final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships kick off next weekend. 

Claire Kendell finished 14th in the 5000m with a time of 17:33.39. That time is not only a personal record for Kendell, but is also the #3 all-time record in the Titan history books for the 5000m.

As for brother Ben Kendell, he worked his way in to the top ten without a great push at the end, and finished ninth overall in the 5000m. 

Kendell crossed the finish line in 14:15.56, missing his career mark by just eight seconds.
