DETROIT (7/26/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball program welcomes a new face to the program as head coach
Bernard Scott announced
Victoria Moreland as the new graduate assistant on Friday. Moreland just recently graduated as a student-athlete from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Bernard Scott said. "Victoria comes highly recommended. She will fit right in with our staff because of how hard she works and how committed she is to making our players better. We just added another person to the program that makes us better!"

Moreland, a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio, joins the Titans after lettering in all four years (2015-19) at Pitt-Johnstown on the women's basketball squad, where she was a three-year starter and two-year team captain. She started 69 of 92 games and made 123 career 3-pointers, averaging 8.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. She was a member of the Dean's List in each semester eligible and graduated with a Bachelor's of Education degree in Secondary Math Education.
Moreland played one season of collegiate basketball with Titan assistant coach
Kayla DeCriscio in 2015-16 during Moreland's freshman year.
Her coaching experience includes as a counselor and coach at various youth basketball camps including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Basketball Camp, Saint Francis Women's Basketball Camp, Ohio Girl Basketball Report Exposure camp, Berlin
Hiland Basketball Camp and New Philadelphia Girls Basketball Camp. She was a volunteer assistant coach for Berlin
Hiland High School in 2018, Team
Hudl AAU in 2018 and New Philadelphia High School from 2015-18.
