DETROIT (8/15/2019) -- University of Detroit Mercy recent graduate Gerald Blackshear Jr. is heading to Cyprus to start his professional career as the 2019 graduate has signed with Enosis Neon Paralimni.

Enosis Neon Paralimni plays in the Cypriot League of the OPAP Basketball League.

He finished his collegiate career playing in 110 games with 52 starts and averaged 4.4 points and 4.0 rebounds with 47 blocks, 55 steals and a 61.7 field goal percentage. 

As a senior, he saw action in 30 games with 23 starts and averaged 4.6 points, a team-high 5.0 rebounds and shot 67.9 percent from the field, while placing fifth in the conference in offensive rebounds per game at 2.2 and 18th in total rebounding.
