DETROIT (9/16/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team returns to the road Tuesday for a non-conference match at Dayton against the Flyers. First kick is set for 7 p.m. ET from Bajuan Field on the campus of Dayton. It's the fourth road match of the season for the Titans (2-3, 0-1 Horizon League).

Live stats will be available for the match, however no live stream is slated for the contest. It's the ninth meeting between the two men's soccer programs and first since 2014.

On The Pitch:

• The Titans are coming off a 1-0 loss at home to Milwaukee in their Horizon League opener on Saturday. It was the first night soccer game in Titan Field history.
• Redshirt sophomore GK Devin Mendez ranks third in the Horizon League in saves per game (4.0) and has 20 total saves in five matches this season.
• Redshirt sophomore forward Kyle Bandyk leads the squad in points with four (one goal, two assists) through five matches; Five different Titans have scored in 2019.
• Senior defender Garret Weaver
• Head coach Nicholas Deren '99 is in his 10th full season as head coach of the Titans with 59 career victories.
• Detroit Mercy is 1-6-1 against Dayton all-time with its lone victory coming in the first meeting in 1988. The Titans fell 3-0 to the Flyers in the last meeting in 2014 -- in Dayton.

Scouting Dayton:

• The Flyers are 1-4 overall in the 2019 season with their victory coming in a 2-1 triumph over Northern Illinois at home on Sept. 9.
• Dayton also has a 3-2 overtime loss to Horizon League opponent UIC in Columbus as well as a 1-0 overtime setback against Ohio State in Dayton.
• Junior midfielder Jonas Fjeldberg leads the team with three goals and six points through five matches thus far for the Flyers. He also has team-highs in shots (13) and shots on goal (eight).
• Senior GK Federico Barrios has played every single minute in net for Dayton and has a 1.92 goals against average and 68.8 save percentage.
• Head coach Dennis Currier enters his 15th season as head coach of the men's soccer team and has 139 victories at Dayton.
• Dayton went 9-6-4 last season, which included a 4-3-1 mark in Atlantic-10 play.
