Third Time's The Charm As Titans Reschedule Game With Kentucky To Dec. 15

DETROIT (12/3/2020) -- Maybe the perfect number is three as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team has rescheduled its game for Kentucky for Dec. 15 at 5:00 p.m at historic Rupp Arena.

The game is part of the Bluegrass Classic and will be televised on the SEC Network. It is the only game of the event, which included Morehead State and Richmond, that has been scheduled to make-up at this point.

The contest, pitting Titan graduate senior Brad Calipari against his dad in Kentucky head coach John Calipari, was originally slated for Nov. 11 before the NCAA moved back the start of the season. It then was supposed to take place on Nov. 27, but following a positive COVID-19 test in the program, the Titans had to pull out of the tournament.

Detroit Mercy will open the 2020-21 campaign on Friday at #8/12 Michigan State in a 5:00 p.m. tip that will be televised live on the Big Ten Network.
