ANN ARBOR, Mich. (2/21/2020) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's track team continued its 2020 indoor campaign with a strong showing at the Silverston Invitational in Ann Arbor this Friday Feb. 21.

Senior Distance runner
James McCann won first place in the mile run with a time of 4:13.48, just a little more than a tenth shy of
Ben Kendell's time of 4:13.31, good for third in school history.

Dash Dobar placed second in the 200m with a time of 1:22.98, and
Zachary Zaborney also placed second in the triple jump with a score of 12.52m.

The 4x400 meter relay teams finished second and fourth in the first heat, and
Jacob Spiaser's score of 4.23m was good for third in the pole vault.

The men's track and field team seeks to repeat its recent successes as they head to Youngstown, Ohio to compete in the Horizon League Championship meet which takes place on Feb. 29 – Mar. 1.
