INDIANAPOLIS (3/2/2020) -- Off an explosive week on the court to end the season, University of Detroit Mercy sophomore guard
Antoine Davis was named the Horizon League men's basketball Player of the Week on Monday. He was also named the College Sports Madness HL Player of the Week.
Davis ended his sophomore campaign in a big way averaging 34.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals, shooting 47.9 percent from the field (23-for-48), 37.5 percent from three (9-for-24) and 82.3 percent from the line (14-of-17) in road games at UIC and at IUPUI.
He started the week with 26 points, five assists and tying his career-high with four steals at UIC and came back with a season-high 43 points hitting 15-of-28 from the field with six 3-pointers in the win at IUPUI. It was his third career 40-point game and the highest scoring output by anyone in the HL this season, not to mention tied for the ninth-highest total in the nation.
In two seasons, he has 1,513 career points, 13th in school history and 233, 3-pointers and was just named First Team All-League for the second time in his career earlier today.
