DETROIT (3/5/2020) -- A pair of Detroit Mercy men's basketball players were praised by HoopsHD.com as sophomore Antoine Davis was named the Horizon League Player of the Year and senior Justin Miller was tabbed the conference's Sixth Man Of The Year.

Davis - who was already named First Team All-Horizon League by the coaches and media in the HL - topped the Horizon League in scoring for the second-straight year at 24.3 points per game, currently fourth in the nation. He was the HL leader with 154 free throws and a 90.1 percent free-throw percentage, was second with 3.37, 3-pointers per game, third with a 32.4 three-point field-goal percentage and 1.73 steals per game and fourth handing out 4.5 assists per game. He also tallied 21 games with 20 or more points, six 30-point outings and a season-high and HL-best 43 points on the season. 

Miller played in 27 games with nine starts and averaged 10.3 points - 10.9 in HL play - and 5.3 rebounds. He scored in double figures in 15 games with a pair of double-doubles, recording 14 points and 12 rebounds versus Wright State and 13 points and 13 boards at Clemson. He also scored a season-high 18 points against NKU and registered his 1,000th career collegiate on the road at No. 1 Gonzaga, where he finished with 17 points.
