DETROIT (8/7/2020) -- It was a great day in Titan history as former long stick midfielder Austin Polson-McCannon '18 was named the head men's lacrosse coach at North Central University.

NCU is a Division III program in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) that is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, his home state.

Polson-McCannon suited up for the Titans from 2015-17 and was a two-time member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and also twice earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team.

He played in 26 games as a Titans and posted 31 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers to go with one goal. As a sophomore, he was tied for second on the team with 10 caused turnovers and was fifth with 19 ground balls and his first marker ended up being the game-winning goal on his first collegiate shot at Monmouth in a 9-8 victory,
