GREEN BAY, Wisc. (10/2/2021) -- It was a low-scoring affair in a Midwestern City battle, but one goal was the difference as the University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Green Bay on Saturday evening.
The low score came on a penalty kick as Green Bay (4-1-4, 1-1-3 HL) scored off a foul in the box in the 50th minute of action.
The Titans (1-10-1, 0-4-1 HL) totaled three shots in the game with sophomore
Katie Sullivan putting the only one on frame in the 72nd minute that was saved. Senior
Julie Ann Piechocki had a shot that was high in the 70th minute and freshman
Erica Leinweber had a shot that was blocked in the 54th minute.
Sophomore
Jazmine Scott started and made three saves on the day.
Detroit Mercy will be back in action on Thursday, Oct. 7, as the red, white and blue visit Wright State.
