FORT WAYNE, Ind. (2/12/21) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team wrapped up its opening weekend of action which saw the team compete in the Mastodon Invitational, on the campus of Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Titans had 17 competitors at the meet and ended up in second place with 129 points.
The red, white and blue had four first-place finishers in
Bonanza Cummings (60-Meters),
Daniel Lanfear (High Jump),
Jacob Spiaser (Pole Vault) and
Derrick Ball Jr. (Triple Jump).
The Titans had at least one top-five finisher in nearly every event they participated in, and in nine events had multiple finishers in the top-five.
The team will be back in action next week, Feb. 18, at the Saginaw Valley State Tune-Up.
