DETROIT (3/1/2022) -- It will be back to conference play for the Titans as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team faces Central Michigan on Wednesday.
Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. and will be at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Michigan. There will be no broadcast, but it will include live stats.
The Titans are 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in MAC play, falling at Robert Morris, 17-9. The two other opponents have been tough foes in Michigan and Marquette.
Central Michigan is 1-2 on the season with losses on the road to nationally-ranked Notre Dame (24-5) and Louisville (18-7) before downing Butler this past weekend, 16-11, for its first win. CMU's lone MAC game against Youngstown State was postponed last week due to poor field conditions.
Detroit Mercy is 4-2 in the series with the Chippewas with a matching 2-1 record at home and on the road. The Titans dropped both games last year though.
Sophomore
Cat Kopchia leads the team with eight points and six goals, while senior
Elise Harder has five points on four goals and one assist. Harder does top the team with nine draw controls. Graduate senior
Maddie Johnson has started the first three games in net and has posted 11 saves with a team-high nine ground balls, while junior
Hannah Shrader has seen action inbetween the pipes in all three and has a team-high four caused turnovers to go with 11 saves.
Following the game, the Titans will head back on the road as they visit Butler out of the BIG EAST on Sunday, March 6.
