HILLSDALE, Mich. (4/22/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's and women's track and field teams had eight runners in the 5000-meters and all eight set personal bests at the Hillsdale Relays on Thursday.
On the women's side, sophomore
Allison Sherman was fourth with a time of 17:43, while graduate senior
Kayla Hughes took 17th in 18:14. Sophomore
Kaitlin Murray finished 44th in 18:56 and freshman
Katie Anderla was 62nd in 20:07.
On the men's side, freshman
Kyle Foulk earned 27th in 15:22. Junior
Ryan Schwab was 36th in 15:36, just ahead of sophomore
Oscar Hernandez's 38th-place 15:37. Graduate senior
Oliver Daniel rounded out the PR day taking 40th in 15:39.
Detroit Mercy will return to action this Saturday at Oakland's Elaine Leigh Track & Field Invitational.
