DETROIT (5/5/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse squad hits the road for its final game of the 2021 season with the Titans heading to Moon Township, Pennsylvania, for a Mid-American Conference battle with Robert Morris. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start from Joe Walton Stadium.

The Titans (2-7, 2-7 MAC) are playing in their sixth game in the past two weeks, as Detroit Mercy opened a furious six-game stretch to end the season on Thursday, April 22. It's also the third game in the past six days for the red, white and blue, which closed the home slate on Monday against Central Michigan.

Last Time Out
The Titans dropped their home finale on Monday afternoon, falling to in-state rival Central Michigan, 20-7, from Titan Field. Senior attacker Kamryn Corraro had a hat trick and junior midfielder Elise Harder added two goals and an assist. Defensively, junior defender Claire Conway had a team-high three caused turnovers for the red, white and blue.

Titans in Mid-American Conference/National Rankings
Senior midfielder Taylor Cantelon ranks third in the MAC in draw controls per game (5.89), while Taryn McManus is fourth just behind her teammate in draw controls per game (4.56). McManus is top-five in many categories and ranks third in caused turnovers per game (1.78), third in assists per game (1.33) and fourth in ground balls per game (2.56) for the Titans.

Junior midfielder Elise Harder is fourth in goals per game (2.89) and fifth in points per game (3.33). Sophomore attacker Annie Gilbert is fourth in assists per game (1.22), while senior defender Sarah Lucas is tied-for-fifth in caused turnovers per contest (1.56) and senior GK Maddie Johnson is seventh in ground balls per game (2.44) among league players.

Harder leads the conference and ranks sixth in the country in free-position percentage (77.8%), converting on 7-of-9 free-position chances. Cantelon is also 24th in the NCAA in draw controls per game (5.89).

Career Marks
Entering the final contest of 2021, Titan senior attacker Kamryn Corraro has 91 points (73 goals, 18 assists) for the red, white and blue across 53 career games. Corraro has 18 goals and seven assists to rank second on the team in points (25) this season.

Junior midfielder Elise Harder has 72 points (66 goals, six assists) in 35 career games for the Titans. Harder has reached the 30-point plateau (26 goals, 30 points in 2021) for the second time in her Titan career this season (in just nine games). Junior midfielder Taryn McManus has 65 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers total in her career entering Thursday's finale and has a career-high 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) this season, also leading the team in ground balls (23), caused turnovers (16) and ranking second on the team with a career-high 41 draw controls in 2021.

Senior defender Sarah Lucas has 53 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers across 47 contests in the red, white and blue. Senior midfielder Taylor Cantelon, who set a single-game school record with 16 DC against YSU earlier this season, has a team-high 53 draw controls in 2021 and has tallied 77 DC in her Titan career.

Scouting Robert Morris
The Colonials (13-2 overall) have clinched the MAC title for the inaugural season of women's lacrosse in the conference and are 9-0 in MAC play entering the season finale on Thursday. With no conference tournament in this first year of MAC lacrosse, Robert Morris is set to represent the league in the NCAA Tournament.

Senior sisters Mackenzie and Melanie Gandy are tied for the team lead with 61 points each for RMU. Mackenzie Gandy leads the team in goals with 45, while Melanie Gandy has a team-best 36 assists, adding 25 goals. The duo is tied for second in the MAC in points and points per game (4.07). Senior Clio Kerr has added 32 goals for Robert Morris. Sophomore midfielder Jordan Anderson leads all MAC players in draw controls (96) and draw controls per game (6.4). In net, graduate senior GK Katelyn Miller has a league-best 53.2% save percentage.

All-Time Series
The Titans and Colonials are meeting for the seventh time in women's lacrosse and the second time this season. The Titans are 1-5 all-time against Robert Morris. The Titans dropped a 19-5 contest with the Colonials just last week on April 28. Junior midfielder Elise Harder had three points (two goals, one assist) and four draw controls in the setback, while senior Sarah Lucas had team-highs with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

It's the first meeting between the two teams in Moon Township since the 2017 season, when the Titans fell 9-7 to Robert Morris on March 4, 2017.
